Kathryn Gongaware is an overeducated and underfocused comedian, writer and, of course, generationally hypocritical yoga teacher. She’s taught all over the city of Chicago — including at Cook County Jail, where she is also the Board President of Prison Yoga Chicago.

Kathryn is a paid regular at The Laugh Factory, Zanies and The Lincoln Lodge Theater and has featured for some of her own favorite acts and people — Rosebud Baker, Beth Stelling, and Kevin Bozeman. She’s known for her dry wit, self-reflection (however delusional) and race takes that won't ruin your night.

Her first special dropped with LMAOF Comedy last year alongside Not Flexible. She also produces Sofar Sounds Comedy and hosts Beyond Bars, a podcast amplifying stories around the criminal justice system.

Between sets and scripts, Kathryn can also be found maintaining her perfect losing streak at pool.
